One year ago in February a client of mine for whom I had done the leasehold improvements in her store several years ago called to ask me if my sister had a website. She said she was dropping her US costume jewelry line and was looking for a suitable line Made In Canada. My sister, Esther Susan (affectionately called "Susie" by me) has been designing and selling jewelry for many years. You can read the details about what we did with this opportunity on our ABOUT page.
This was a classic case of applying Susan's experience to an opportunity and some people call that "luck"! We call it "divine appointments" because we believe that when we are operating in our God-given gifts, interests, passions, and desires, we keep connecting to our destiny. For Susan and I, it means an opportunity to work together, as the daughters of a man who was a pastor by profession and a jewelry-clock maker by trade! Our mother was very artistic, creative, and skilled in designing all our clothes for boarding school in India. As we have grown up and lived in a culture other than that of our own or our parents, we take new opportunities each day to advance our business. Jesmic Jewelry continues to evolve into a combination of what we want and what our prospects need in their retail stores. Each day is a 'lucky' day when you continue to apply your experience to your opportunities. Good luck!
